In Room 8 we decided to make some String Easter Eggs.
First the children had to put small chocolate eggs into a small balloon and blow it up to make the shape of an egg.
Next the children soaked string in PVA glue and wrapped the string around the balloon. This created lots of mess and sticky hands. However there was fun all around the table.
We then hung the eggs in a warm spot to dry. We moved them a couple of times just in case the chocolate eggs got too hot and melted. It took 24 hours for the string to dry.
When the string had dried it was time to remove the balloon.
This took lots of patience and help from others.
The end result was a string egg with chocolate eggs inside.
So it was smiles and success all round.
